The nude has always stood at the heart of art history — a timeless subject that embodies beauty, form, and human expression. When approached with elegance and sensitivity, it reveals not only the contours of the body but also the emotions, stillness, and vitality within.

The Hyde Gallery is proud to present “Nudes”, a curated group exhibition celebrating the enduring inspiration of the human form. This collection brings together a range of artistic voices, each with their own unique vision:

  • David Cottingham — nudes full of movement and energy, created in collaboration with professional dancers in his studio.

  • Nicky Chubb — playful, colourful collages that bring lightness and joy to the subject.

  • Annabel Hill Loureiro — classic, elegant collages and oils on board, steady and calming in presence.

  • Anna Sudbina — a brave and unexpected take on the nude, revealing a side of her practice not seen before.

  • Anna Oborotova — dreamy and poetic imagery, including a tender scene of two female figures.

  • Judith Brenner — her signature expressive drawings, well known for their strength and immediacy.

Together, these works form a rich and varied dialogue — from delicate collages that invite quiet contemplation to expressive paintings and drawings that radiate energy. Each piece captures a different dimension of the nude, making this one of the most diverse and inspiring exhibitions we’ve hosted.
